6 months old already and time is flying by! slow it down! you are getting up on your hands and knees and just starting to rock- i give it a few weeks before you're mobile! you roll both ways, but don't really go anywhere much. just kind of around in circles and then you do the "beached whale". as soon as it clicks that you can actually navigate your way around, there will be no stopping you. no teeth yet, thank goodness! you are a very distracted nurser nad who can blame you when there are often many siblings in your face trying to kiss you and talk to you while you nurse. i sometimes lock myself in my room to get you a good breakfast ;) you have had a hard time with sleep lately- we went on a trip over Christmas and it threw you all off and then i think there was a developmental leap or a 6 month sleep regression or who knows, but it has been hard the past few weeks. maybe you just like the extra 1:1 time with parents since you hardly get us to yourself ;) you are starting to take 2 solid naps a day and we try to keep you up until 7 or 8 to make sure you don't have a false start and then wake up at 8pm and stay up til 10. but while you are awake it is hard to get anything done. you want us close by- you cry if we leave the room and you are alone at all. i think you're bored of your toys for the most part, but give you anything novel and you are into it! we just started some solids a few weeks ago and you are meeh about it. you will like fold over while we hold you if you see food trying to get to it, but you don't eat much. we give you little pieces and you always make a face and don't really end up getting much down. you did enjoy avocado in the little silicone feeder and while we were giving you that your poop got a bit more solid, so you got some for sure. i think we need to start you on purees more than just baby-led weaning. maybe you'll enjoy that more! but i'm in no rush. i love nursing my babies and you're my last, so soaking up all of it! you are just moving into 9m clothing and it is always so sad saying goodbye to favorite outfits. we have been lightly doing EC with you and that has been fun-you hardly poop in your diapers! your hair has gotten slightly lighter and we still deal with a bit of cradle cap here and there. you still don't love the car, but it is getting better! you love having your siblings in the car to play peek-a-boo with you ;) you are a DELIGHT and we love you so so so so much! i thank the Lord for your precious little life and I am enjoying every bit of watching you grow up! my sweet baby boy <3 <3 <3
we can't bring ourselves to put you in the church nursery yet. i am ready to be back in service and not in the baby room and i think you will loove the toys, so it is time. but i will miss the sleepy snuggles!
at the pumpkin patch
the nerdiest little sweater ;)
we love you so much
the ergo has been our favorite!
pullin hair
little imp! i just adore this pic
snuggling with dad in the courthouse conference room they gave us so i could keep you close to nurse you. everyone called you "therapy baby" and fought over snuggling you during trial breaks.
thanksgiving sunshine!
i had you forward facing in the ergo and went to check on the kiwis, but it was muddy and on a hill and i slipped and went down to my knee and you bent right forward and landed on your forehead in the mud...i mean in the ergo so not hard or anything, but your face was all red. poor buddy! still happy
i loved that your little leg would often go down like that while nursing, so had to document
eating avocado!
1st Christmas at Oma's house! you actually got super sick- your first fever and coughing and getting dirty looks from other plane passengers. it was so sad!
you didn't care about Santa at all
always surrounded by your sisters and brother. they all love you so much! sweet baby of 5- you'll always be surrounded by love and protection!
